Thermodynamic constraints are used to study the thermodynamic function
s of the Zr-N system over the temperature range from 1500 K to 3570 K.
The results are presented as the nitrogen isobars superimposed on the
revised phase diagram. The Gibbs energies of solution of nitrogen dis
solution in solid and liquid Zr are also determined with the assumptio
n that nitrogen dissolution in Zr follows Sievert's law.
