I. Downing et al., A COMPARISON OF THE FUNCTIONAL-ACTIVITY OF MONOCLONAL AND POLYCLONAL RH ANTIBODIES, Transfusion clinique et biologique, 3(6), 1996, pp. 479-481
The functional activity of monoclonal anti-Ds has been compared with t
hat of non-D monoclonal antibodies. Approximately 50% of anti-Ds were
more active than a positive control while more than 75% of non-D antib
odies failed to reach 10% activity of the positive control. These figu
res do not correlate with the IgG bound per red cell which, however, d
oes correlate closely with the antigen site density as would be expect
ed.
