Et. Schreiber et Cd. Morris, EVALUATION OF PUBLIC INFORMATION PACKETS FOR MOSQUITO SOURCE REDUCTION IN 2 FLORIDA CITIES, Journal of the American Mosquito Control Association, 11(2), 1995, pp. 186-190
The efficacies of induced backyard cleanups of mosquito development si
tes via 3 different literature treatments were studied in low- and mid
dle-income neighborhoods in Gainesville and Tallahassee, FL, during Ju
ly and August 1993. Results indicated that 4-color-process literature
significantly reduced the number of artificial containers with or with
out active mosquito development in both economic areas in both geograp
hic locations compared to no literature or black-and-white literature
treatments. More importantly, there were no differences between reside
nces receiving the black-and-white literature and residences given no
literature.
