Lm. Sharygin et al., DECONTAMINATION OF ATOMIC POWER-STATION RETENTION-POND WATER BY A SELECTIVE TI PHOSPHATE SORBENT, Radiochemistry, 36(6), 1994, pp. 566-570
The physicochemical properties and sorption selectivity of spherical g
ranulated Ti phosphate synthesized by the sol-gel method are investiga
ted. The Ti phosphate is dynamically tested in experiments for deconta
mination of simulated atomic energy station retention-pond water from
Cs radionuclides. A decontamination coefficient of 2.10(4) is achieved
during continuous filtration of recirculating simulant at 20 column v
olumes per hour for a total of 12,900 column volumes. The experimental
results are compared with theoretical calculations.
