Abstract
Women remain an underrepresented group in science and mathematics. Thi s article examines factors related to persistence in science/mathemati cs of women science or mathematics majors. Cohort, major, number of un dergraduate science courses, parental encouragement, and career advice from faculty were key factors associated with persistence in science/ mathematics after college.
