Abstract
Published pseudofunction theories are compared with the large-scale av eraging method in the quasistatic case by numerical simulations of two -phase flow in a stratified medium for different flow regimes. In some cases, the large-scale averaging gives results that are as satisfacto ry as those of more complicated and more expensive methods.
