Abstract
OBJECTIVE. Our objective was to evaluate, over a 5-year period, the no nsurgical treatment of three patients with suprahepatic caval anastomo tic stenosis who had undergone orthotopic liver transplantation. CONCL USION. Balloon angioplasty is a safe and effective method for treating chronic caval stenosis occurring in patients who have undergone ortho topic liver transplantation. Caval stenosis identified in the early po stoperative period, especially when such stenosis is associated with c aval torsion or kinking, may be effectively treated by stent placement .
