A. Tumageanian et A. Keyhani, IDENTIFICATION OF SYNCHRONOUS MACHINE LINEAR PARAMETERS FROM STANDSTILL STEP VOLTAGE INPUT DATA, IEEE transactions on energy conversion, 10(2), 1995, pp. 232-240
This paper presents the results of a time-domain identification proced
ure to estimate the linear parameters of a 15kVA salient-pole synchron
ous machine at standstill. A step voltage Input test is performed, and
the parameters of the time constant models and equivalent circuit mod
el are estimated. The Maximum Likelihood algorithm is used for the est
imation, and the best-fit model is selected from a set of increasing o
rder models. The initialization values for the parameters to be estima
ted are determined from the operational inductances derived directly f
rom tie measured time domain data. The simulated equivalent circuit mo
del response is validated against the measured standstill lime domain
and frequency domain data. In addition, simulation of the model respon
se to an on-line small disturbance test is compared to the measured dy
namic response.
