Abstract
A novel self-doped polymer having alkylphosphonic acid moieties on pol yaniline is synthesized from persulfate oxidative coupling of o-aminob enzylphosphonic acid 3; the resulting polymer apart from being water s oluble in its self-doped monosodium salt form, demonstrates excellent redox stability when subjected to potentiometric cycling, between 0.0 and 1.0 V.
