Abstract
Reaction of [Ni(acac)(2)(H2O)(2)] with benzotriazole (Hbta) in acetone -n-hexane yields the pentanuclear nickel complex: [N i(5)(OH)(bta)(5)( acac)(4)(H2O)4] 1; the novel structure of this compound is described, together with the results of magnetic susceptibility studies which ind icate antiferromagnetic coupling between the nickel (II) ions within t he complex.
