Abstract
Application of 3,3-dimethylnaphtidine as chromogenic reagent in the fl ow-injection system with spectrophotometric detection enables the dete rmination of free residual chlorine with sufficient selectivity and de tectability with sampling rate 150 samples per hour. The developed met hod was satisfactorily applied to the analysis of treated water sample s, although their limited selectivity to chloramines was also demonstr ated. (C) 1995 Academic Press, Inc.
