Hs. Rathore et al., SOLID-PHASE PRECONCENTRATION AND SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC DETERMINATION OF CARBARYL TRACES IN WATER, Microchemical journal, 51(3), 1995, pp. 393-397
A new solid-phase extraction procedure using a polyurethane foam plug
column has been tested for the preconcentration of traces of carbaryl
(50-400 ppb) present in water. The plug was Soxhlet extracted with chl
oroform, the solvent was evaporated, the residue was dissolved in meth
anol, and the carbaryl was determined spectrophotometrically. Recovery
was 73-80, 82-88, 91-97, and 94-98% from deep-well water, river water
, rain water, and distilled water, respectively. (C) 1995 Academic Pre
