MOZART AND MEDICINE IN THE 18TH-CENTURY

Over the years the medical history and death of Mozart have been the s ubject of many studies, but in spite of all this attention much remain s controversial, in an attempt to resolve some of the difficulty it is useful to see his life, and that of his family as recorded in their l etters, in the context of medicine in eighteenth-century Europe.
