Abstract
Immobilization of microalgae for final cattle manure teatment has not been reported. The immobilization of two different strains of eucaryot ic algae and the influence of the support media on the reactor are des cribed. Polyurethane media shows better behaviour as support for the i mmobilization of microalgae than sodium alginate. Also, the results op en the possibility to use immobilized microalgae for ammonia nitrogen and orthophosphate removal.
