Transport properties of solid-electrolyte layers (SEL) formed in lithi
um-iodine batteries have been studied by the method of single galvanos
tatic pulses. It was found that the rate of the anodic process depends
on the formation of the ionic space charge of lithium cations injecte
d into SEL. The values of the concentration of lithium ions and their
mobility in SEL have been determined at different stages of discharge.
