Abstract
The volume of amorphous zirconium phosphate precipitates formed in aci d solutions (pH = 0-2) is increased many times by the action of fluori de (hydrofluoric acid). At fluoride concentrations corresponding to a maximum precipitate volume, the particles slowly (during several days) coalesce to form a semi-solid gel.
