Cyclosporin A (CyA) has been used successfully in the treatment of rhe
umatoid arthritis. There is one case report of CyA used successfully i
n the treatment of severe systemic onset Still's disease. To our knowl
edge, there are no reports of CyA used in adult Still's disease. We pr
esent the first report of a patient with refractory adult Still's dise
ase successfully treated with CyA. We submit that cyclosporine treatme
nt may induce remission of symptoms in patients with adult Still's dis
ease and reduce the steroid requirements.
