DESIGN, APPLICATION AND COMMISSIONING OF SECONDARY DEDUSTING AT DUNKIRK STEELPLANT

Three stages have contributed to the dimensioning of the setting up of secondary dust control dedusting facilities of converters :the measur es of Leces on the mill site, the simulation on hydraulic experimental model, and the thermic and ventilation calculations. The capacity of the lowering bag filter, upstream the three ventilators, reaches 3,128 ,000 m(3)/h at 130 degrees C. The equipment installation from December 1992 to January 1993 was achieved in a steelmaking plant in operation .
