The study carried out on lmphy s.a.'s pickling line shows that simple real-time bath monitoring is feasible for single acids, acid mixtures or even reagents with controlled oxidizing potentiel. Laboratory obser vations were combined with numerous industrial measurements in order t o validate the proposed methodology. A detailed economic analysis furt her emphasized the advantage of this process.
