Abstract
A theoretical approach for the estimation of crystal surface stability under corrosion was developed. The method was based upon description of the metal-electrolyte boundary according to the solitonic theory. T exture treatment of the subsurface layer leading to an exposure of vic inal planes with the least transmission velocity was shown to increase the corrosion resistance of polycrystals.
