Abstract
A review of the methodology recommended by the World Health Organizati on for the use of molluscicides for the control of snail vectors of sc histosomiasis is presented. Discussion of the principle molluscicides used, their advantages and disadvantages the techniques and equipment required for their application and evaluation of effect as well as the biological control of snails is included.
