Abstract
Two new six-ring double-swallow-tailed mesogens were prepared. The pha se behaviours of these compounds were studied by optical methods and b y calorimetry. One of them shows the very unusual phase sequence cryst alline-smectic C-cubic-isotropic-nematic-isotropic.
