EQUAL REACTION-RATES FOR ALL RECOMBINATION PATHWAYS

Formal collision theory indicates that the absolute termolecular recom bination reaction rate can be expressed in a form associated either wi th direct or indirect mechanisms for the recombination. Moreover, the same exact rate constant can be calculated using either of the four me chanisms. These results are to be contrasted to the rate constants sta ndardly calculated by approximate methods.
