J. Rittweger et al., INFLUENCE OF MODULATED HIGH-FREQUENCY ELECTROMAGNETIC-FIELDS ON THE FUNCTIONAL-ORGANIZATION AND DYNAMICS OF THE COMMON BRAIN-STEM SYSTEM, Bioelectrochemistry and bioenergetics, 37(1), 1995, pp. 31-37
The immediate influence of low-frequency modulated high-frequency elec
tromagnetic fields (MHF) on regulatory patterns in the state of relaxe
d wakefulness was investigated in five healthy volunteers. The differe
nces in magnetoencephalogram, heart frequency and ventilatory paramete
rs before and after occipital application of MHF indicate that the eff
ects can be explained by an influence on the common brainstem system (
CBS). The CBS is part of the central nervous system which organizes an
d regulates the prerequisites necessary for the execution of meaningfu
l behaviour.
