PRELIMINARY-STUDY OF DIFFERENT OMEPRAZOLE-GAMMA-CD CO-GRINDED SYSTEMS

In this work, we illustrate the usefulness of co-grinding as a resourc eful procedure for preparing OME-gamma-CD inclusion complexes with fas ter and higher dissolution characteristics than the drug alone. Differ ent modified variants of the co-grinding processing method have been c hecked, and DRX, SEM and dissolution rate studies have been employed t o characterize the final products. The main conclusion arising from th e former studies has been the obtention of a new solid phase, the OME- gamma-CD inclusion compound, after buffer-wetted co-grinding of both c omponents during 4 h. Such complex presented a 170-folded DE(15) respe cting the pure OME.
