odine or diiodoalkanes at ambient conditions to afford ion-spin d(6) c
omplexes Ni(C=O O)(2)(PMe(3))(2). The molecular structure of the 5-ter
t-butyl-3-methyl derivative contains two axial trimethylphosphines and
a cisoidal arrangement of two acylphenolato dianions in equatorial po
sitions.
