Abstract
1,2-Dimyristoyl-sn-glycero-3-pentalysine hexakis(trifluoroacetate) 1 h as been synthesized and its transfection efficiency has been compared with that of the commercially available lipid DOTAP (3T3 mouse fibrobl ast cells; CMV-Luc plasmid). When the positive (lipid)/negative (DNA) charge ratio was 6, the lipid 1 was 1.7 times more efficient than DOTA P.
