Abstract
The applications of pediatric epilepsy neurosurgery continue to expand . Many of the advances in pediatric epilepsy surgery should reflect sc ientific, technical, and conceptual issues identical to those seen wit h adult epilepsy surgery. This article discusses the future approaches to solutions, sharper maps, maps of functionally important cortex, st imulation mapping, realtime imaging, exploit plasticity, and diminishe d epileptogenicity without resection.
