Excavation of prehistoric site XHP-010 in northwestern Alaska disclose
d cores and blades not previously associated with the several characte
ristic forms that comprise the rest of the cultural assemblage. Except
for this core and blade technology, the XHP-010 assemblage is similar
to well-described assemblages from Point Hope and Cape Krusenstern. T
his technology is described and its presence or absence in otherwise a
pparently identical contexts is discussed.
