Ma. Taylor et Hv. Davies, CHANGES IN GENE-EXPRESSION DURING IMBIBITION OF SEEDS OF DOUGLAS-FIR (PSEUDOTSUGA-MENZIESII), Journal of plant physiology, 146(1-2), 1995, pp. 54-58
The cDNA clones of two genes, DF9 and DF12, which show greatly enhance
d expression during imbibition of seeds of Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga me
nziesii) have been isolated by differential screening. The expression
profiles of these genes during 35 days of moist treatment at both 4 de
grees C and 20 degrees C are described. Sequence analysis reveals a hi
gh degree of similarity between the DF9 cDNA and plant H1 histone gene
s. DF12 shows similarity to the PRE4 gene from yeast that encodes a be
ta-subunit of the 20S proteasome complex.
