The system Zn0.5Cu0.5FexCr2-xO4 (0.8 less than or equal to x less than
or equal to 1) has been investigated for its magnetic behaviour. All
the samples are ferrimagnetic from the hysteresis loops. Higher values
of H-c and J(R)/J(S) at low temperatures indicate single-domain behav
iour. Hysteresis loops and saturation magnetisation values at high mag
netic fields show the compounds to the highly anisotropic ferrimagnets
