Abstract
2-alkoxypyridines were regioselectively metalated on the C-6 position with [1/1] BuLi / Me(2)N(CH2)(2)OLi agregates. The corresponding 6-lit hio derivatives were reacted with various electrophiles leading to the corresponding 6-substituted 2-alkoxypyridines in very good yields.
