M. Albert et al., ANALYSIS OF ORGANIC AND NONORGANIC ARSENIOUS OR SELENIOUS COMPOUNDS BY CAPILLARY ELECTROPHORESIS, Fresenius' journal of analytical chemistry, 351(4-5), 1995, pp. 426-432
High-performance capillary electrophoresis appeared as an efficient to
ol for the separation of organic and non-organic arsenious or seleniou
s compounds. The effect of operating conditions, such as pH, concentra
tion of the background electrolyte and addition of surfactant to the b
ackground electrolyte in order to reverse the electroosmotic flow, has
been studied. This separation technique leads to low levels of detect
ion for both classes of compounds, if mass sensitivity is considered (
several tens of pg), but it requires quite concentrated samples (sever
al mg l(-1)), if concentration sensitivity is considered.
