Abstract
Three novel binuclear complexes, Cr(2)Cl(6)L . EtOH, Mn(2)OAc(4)L . Et OH, Rh(2)Cl(6)L.2H(2)O, where l-N,N',N'-tribenzimidazolylmethylethylen e-diamine, have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, i.r., u.v.-vis. and e.s.r. spectra, and by magnetic susceptibility me asurements. A weak antiferromagnetic spin exchange interaction exists between the metal ions in a binuclear unit for the dimanganese complex . Preliminary bioassays show that the manganese complex possesses anti tumour activity in vitro.
