Abstract
Variation in the structure and amino add composition of the chorion of Daba and Andhra local ecoraces of Antheraea mylitta Drury [Lepidopter a : Saturniidae] were recorded. The structural differences in the flat surface of the eggshell as well as the shape of the aeropyles in both the ecoraces, suggest the adaptability of the population of Daba and Andhra local ecoraces of A. mylitta with their original sites of colle ction.
