Abstract
Universal Transmission Fluctuations are discussed using a dynamical mo del based on a classical chaotic map. Quasi-classical approximations f or the 2nd-order statistics of the fluctuations lead to a heuristic ex planation for the universality of fluctuations in the diffusive regime , which illustrates the respective roles of classical chaos and quantu m coherence.
