An efficient Fmoc-based solid-phase method for the synthesis of sulfat
ed tyrosine-containing peptides is described. This synthetic approach
involves two key features: (1) use of the 2-chlorotrityl resin as a so
lid support, and (2) a two-step cleavage/deprotection protocol. Variou
s molecular forms of gastrin-II and cholecystokinin (CCK) were prepare
