Abstract
The medium from dipoles d with equiprobable directions is considered. The dipoles are polarized to get a dipole moment along the field beta E. By supposing that the medium density n is quite strong so that the dielectric permeability is well more than unity, 4 pi n beta much grea ter than 1, the average potential energy [- dE] of the dipole in the c ollective electric field E is calculated. The formula for the energy i s proportional to the Bohm potential V-q similar to Delta root n/root n. According to the Madelung transformation, the hydrodynamics equatio ns are equivalent to the Schrodinger equation. The phase of psi-functi on in the theory is proportional to the veritable classical action. Th e electrodynamic sense of the surface stress tenser is found. Self-int eraction of a quantum charged particle is similar to photon interactio n. It is shown that a rotating charge has an angular momentum equivale nt to the spin h/2.
