Abstract
A 2-year-old dog was presented with a history of recurrent pain on ope ning its mouth. Clinical examination revealed conjunctivitis and chemo sis of the left eye. Ultrasound examination of the eye revealed poor d efinition of the extra-ocular muscles. An orbitotomy was performed and a 50 mm-long sliver of wood was removed from the retrobulbar tissues.
