K. Bachmann et al., CHARGED NATIVE BETA-CYCLODEXTRIN AS A PSEUDOSTATIONARY PHASE IN ELECTROKINETIC CHROMATOGRAPHY, Fresenius' journal of analytical chemistry, 357(1), 1997, pp. 32-36
Native beta-cyclodextrin, deprotonated at its secondary hydroxyl group
s has been studied as pseudostationary phase for electrokinetic chroma
tographic separation of highly hydrophobic compounds. Using this pseud
ostationary phase the separation of five polycyclic aromatic hydrocarb
ons (PAHs) is shown. The influence of the main parameters (field stren
gth, pH, concentration of cyclodextrin, urea and organic solvent) on t
he separation of PAHs and migration behaviour of beta-CD is discussed.
