Abstract
Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels in some hypercholesterolemi c patients slowly increase while they are receiving lovastatin therapy . Twenty-six patients who presented with this ''escape phenomenon'' we re treated successfully by stopping and then readministering the lovas tatin therapy at the same dose.
