Abstract
Detailed studies of an upper Miocene diatomaceous interbed (circa 8 m. y.) in the Banbury Ba salt Formation of Gooding County, Idaho, yielded Mesodictyon sectorale n.sp. and M. undulatum. Mesodictyon sp. A from diatomaceous beds (circa 10-11 m.y.) in the Coal Valley or = formation in Lyon County, Nevada, compared favorably in many respects with the morphology of M. undulatum, bur it may be a new species.
