Abstract
We report the placement of intrahepatic metallic, balloon-expandable s tents in the biliary tree following liver transplantation in a 12-mont h-old infant who developed biliary strictures secondary to hepatic art ery thrombosis. The use of such stents has not previously been reporte d following transplantation in an infant. Re-transplantation was under taken 5 months after stenting because of chronic rejection and progres sive obstructive jaundice.
