Abstract
Most relapses following autologous bone marrow transplantation (BMT) f or acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) occur within 18 months. A patient is presented who relapsed 4 years after successful autologous BMT for AML. A review of the literature confirms this to be a rare event and m ay have been associated with extramedullary relapse of the leukemia.
