Abstract
Characteristics of degradation of commercial polyacrylamide in aqueous solutions under the action of water-soluble destructive agents - radi cal initiators - have been investigated viscometrically at 50 degrees C. It has been found possible to control molecular weight of the polym er by changing the nature and concentration of the destructive agent, the concentration and molecular weight of the initial polymer, and the temperature and time of degradation.
