Abstract
Mixed potassium-ferrous ferrocyanide and its Ru-II and Os-II analogs h ave been synthesized tribochemically by grinding Fe(SO4). 7H(2)O with the equivalent amount of K-4[Fe(CN)(6)]. 3H(2)O and the Ru-II and Os-I I compounds. Their XRD powder patterns and Mossbauer and IR spectra we re recorded and interpreted. The role of hydration water on the feasib ility of the tribochemical synthesis is discussed.
