Abstract
Different pathways to Ru-complexes are described using the hitherto un known S-type terpyridines 3 and the known U-type ligands 4. The result ing hexafluorophosphates 6 and 7 have been spectroscopically character ized by H-1 NMR and IR data and also by mass spectrometry and cyclic v oltammetry.
