The citric resin method is used to prepare stoichiometric, homogeneous
and fine barium titanate powders. The elaboration process is describe
d in detail. Powders ave characterized by several methods such as R-ra
y diffraction, scanning and transmission electron microscopy, thermogr
avimetric measurements and infra-red absorption and X-photoelectron sp
ectroscopies. Residual carbon content is quantified by nuclear technic
s and Rosenmount method, Raw powders contain small quantities of bariu
m carbonate and residual carbon.
