Abstract
A classical kinetic model of step-wise alternating copolymerization is presented. A set of three partial differential equations is derived f or generating functions describing the size distribution of molecules terminated with two different or two alike units. From monomer composi tion and reactivities of functional groups the moments or averages of the molecular size distribution of copolymers can be calculated.
