Abstract
In this article the analytical solution of physical optics in nearfiel d for a perfectly conducting disc or square plane surface is discussed . This discussion leads to very simple formulations gluing the values and positions of the minima and the maxima of the radar cross section (RCS) with simple laws. (C) 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
